Join us on Tuesday, September 21, for a luncheon along the Lakeshore. Our keynote speaker, Nathan Bierma, the communications manager for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, will speak about how a Reformed perspective on creation connects with biblical glimpses of heaven—based on his book "Bringing Heaven Down To Earth". His presentation will explore how hope for heaven can animate our faith and our work on a daily basis, even (especially) in a world full of despair.

Bierma, a 2002 graduate of Calvin, wrote the book while living in Chicago and working as a freelance journalist, reflecting on how the loftiest pictures and promises in the Bible relate to everyday life and culture around us. His book makes fresh connections between neglected biblical themes and the work and service to which God calls us.
